Parents never tested me as a kid (guess they thought I was normal or something, just couldn't afford it.) Just knew something was different about me as a little girl growing up.
Its been a few months and got the diagnosis of Autism and Intellectual Disability (that one recently)
So here I am.. My expressions are usually blank and poker face-like, so its also hard for ppl around me to read my expressions.
Still trying to figure out where to go from here, i just been doing what i usually do (draw, play games, work, music, etc), I even got therapy. I wouldn't mind some advice from more autistics or anyone who has a friend/family how to better approach things and what you do.
Not a downer post, actually happy to know what I have now! Just unsure where to go from here besides forward

I've been diagnosed when I was around 3 but wasn't told about it until I was in middle school. Made better sense for why I was in special ed for half my childhood...
Idrk what advice to give bc it's screwed with my self esteem and I just wish people didn't make such a huge deal out of it.
I guess you just gotta live with it now. :P
